Below you will see the schedule for the day and al lthe sessions that are being offered. Please look through schedule and find sessions that interest you. To add a session to your schedule, simply click the star in front of the session name. When the star turns black that session has been added to your schedule for the day. If you change your mind on a session in your schedule, click the black star. When the star turns white the session has been removed from your schedule. There is a limit to the number of people that can attend each session, please only star the sessions you plan on attedning.

This session will cover the mechanics of file management with the iPad. Moving files back and forth between school computers and your iPads and how to open/save those files to maximize compatibility.

A showcase of categorized edtech resources focused around a Social Studies curriculum, but applicable to other coursework as well. Presentation will focus on representative web-based and app-based technology that falls into the categories of Collaboration, Creation, Organization, Student Interaction, and Content/Curriculum as they apply to the classroom. Format will include demonstrations, practice, and extension resources. Featured resources include: StoryKit, Edmodo, Student Cam, American History Time Line, and student examples of work using several different resources.
Wikipedia defines “Gamification” as “the use of game mechanics and game design techniques in non-game contexts.” Apps like 4Square do this - you get points and earn badges and “mayorships” - and do this to compete against your friends. Session will address identifying appropriate content, organization, gaming, best practices, successes & struggles. Featured applications and resources will include Google Sites, Google Docs, HippoCampus, and more. Participants will be provided with access to and examples of gamification examples in multiple settings including professional development, a secondary classroom, and a special education environment.
