Connected Classrooms-Connected Educators-Connected School
Limited Capacity seats available

We will explore and discuss the benefits of connecting learning in your district to other learners. We will start with connecting classrooms by inviting my friend, Kate Gato, to join us via Skype. Kate works with the internationally renowned Taking IT Global initiative. TIG is headquartered in Toronto from where Kate will originate. We will then look at the Connected Educators project by the US Department of Education of which I am honored to be a part. We will discuss what it means to be connected educators and what it can mean to you and your students. Professional Learning Networks have always been important to us. They have new possibilities now. We will look at how connected classrooms and connected educators can create Connected Schools.

A Vision for a NETS District
Limited Capacity seats available

I have been privileged to have a thirty year relationship with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), the largest technology in education association in the world. A signature trio of education technology standards for students, teachers and administrators were developed in the 90's and updated in the last five years. We will review the NETS (National Educational Technology Standards) for Students and Teachers by focusing in on the similarities and how they scale. We will then look at the standards for administrators and discuss how all three sets of standards can be used to make your 1:1 initiative as successful as possible.
